Luciano Benadusi
Luciano Benadusi, is “Professore Ordinario” (the highest level of the academic career in Italy) in Sociology of Education within the Faculty of Sociology at the Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”. He is also the Dean of the same Faculty and member of the Department “Innovazione e Società” (DIeS).
He participated in many international projects. In particular he has been member of the OECD ad hoc group on the Indicators of Equity in Education, and coordinator of the Italian research unity in three recent EC projects (Socrates Program) on the same subject.
Currently, Luciano Benadusi is member of other international networks: Rappe (on educational policy) and Cher (on higher education studies).
He has directed the doctoral program “Social Systems, Organisations and Public Policies” (Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”); whose scientific staff he is member. Within his university he is also the scientific coordinator of two master courses: one in policy and management of education and another in management of human resources. He is editor of the review “Scuola Democratica” and member of other editorial boards. Many times, Luciano Benadusi has been consultant of the Italian Ministries of Public Instruction and University and Research.
His main research subjects and publication areas are: equality and equity in education, higher education policy, school policies and school management, learning competences, relationships between school and work.
