Kathleen Lynch is the Professor of Equality Studies at University College Dublin where she also holds a Senior Lectureship in Education.

She is the founding co-ordinator of the UCD Equality Studies Centre (1990) and has played a leading role in the establishment of the School of Social Justice in UCD in 2005, of which Equality Studies forms a part.

  • 2005- 2008 Association for Higher Education and Access for People with Disabilities (AHEAD)
  • 2005- PlANET - Umbrella organisation for the National Anti-Poverty Networks

Kathleen Lynch is also editorial board member for the British Journal of Sociology of Education, Disability and Society, Critical Studies in Education, and International Studies in Sociology of Education.
