UCD School of Social Justice

This School comprises the Equality Studies Centre and the Women’s Education Research and Resource Centre (WERRC). Our mission is to advance interdisciplinary, feminist and egalitarian perspectives, and to promote justice both locally and globally for women and other marginalized peoples.

The originality of the work of the School lies in its dialogical and participatory approach to teaching and the development and dissemination of research and theory. The work is driven by the desire to make research accessible to all, and by the practice of linking egalitarian theory to action for social change. The research programme is open and inclusive and is grounded in the wide range of disciplinary traditions represented by staff and students of the Equality Studies Centre and the Women’s Education Research and Resource Centre.
