Istituto Nazionale di Valutazione per il Sistema dell´istruzione et di formazione (INVALSI)

Das 2004 reorganisierte Zentrum, eine Einrichtung öffentlichen Rechts mit Verwaltungsautonomie, ist dem italienischen Ministerium für Bildung, Universitäten und Forschung unterstellt. Es führt systematisch Leistungsmessungen bei Schülern und Schulevaluationen gemäß dem nationalen Evaluationssystem (SNV) durch. Es erstellt nationale Tests, forscht und garantiert im internationalen Kontext Italiens Teilnahme an internationalen Leistungsmessungen, wie z.B. PIRLS, PISA, TIMMS.

INValSI is a research institute with the status of legal entity governed by public law. It has autonomy as regards administration, accounts assets, regulations and finance. The Institute was reorganised with legislative decree n. 286 of 19 November 2004, taking on the name of National Institute for the Educational Evaluation of Instruction and Training (INValSI), and the governing bodies were also renewed with new tasks. It carries out e.g. test, organises education related research and garanties the Italian participation in international large scales evaluations such as PIRLS, PISA, TIMMS.
