Key competencies: A developing concept in general compulsory education

This study discusses use of the concept of "key competencies" in compulsory general education, along with the knowledge and know-how that the concept embraces. It also indicates how key competencies are developed within the curriculum, and precisely when and how they are evaluated. The study covers the 15 EU Member States at the time it was published, as well as Estonia.
