  • Co-author of the OECD teacher survey TALIS (Teaching and Learning International Survey) (since 2005)
  • Representative for Germany in the International Association for the Evaluation of Student Achievement (IEA) (since 2008)
  • Member of the expert group for the project  “Assessing and Teaching 21st Century Skills” (since 2009)
  • Advising/counselling the federal government and Länder states on issues of educational monitoring, for instance by the expertise „Zur Entwicklung nationaler Bildungsstandards“ [On the development of national educational standards] (main author, 2003)
