Lorenzo Fischer is professor of the Sociology of education in the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Turin. Since 1996 he has been the Director of C.I.R.D.A. In the last years he as done research on living condition of secondary school teachers and on the new function of the eadmasters of the indipendent schools.
