Kathleen Lynch is the Professor of Equality Studies at University College Dublin where she also holds a Senior Lectureship in Education.
She is the founding co-ordinator of the UCD Equality Studies Centre (1990) and has played a leading role in the establishment of the School of Social Justice in UCD in 2005, of which Equality Studies forms a part.
